Advanced Nanocatalyst Design Lab
■ Our lab advances efficient hydrogen production and storage through the development of novel catalysts for ammonia synthesis and decomposition. We investigate the electrochemical nitrate reduction reaction (NO3-RR) as a sustainable pathway for ammonia synthesis. For ammonia decomposition, we design thermocatalysts and employ in-situ analytical techniques to identify key factors influencing catalytic performance. By optimizing both green ammonia production and decomposition, our research contributes to a more sustainable hydrogen economy.■ We develops advanced catalysts for methane pyrolysis to produce turquoise hydrogen and enhance the quality and yield of carbon co-products. We also conduct in-depth reaction kinetic studies and modeling to optimize process conditions and elucidate fundamental reaction mechanisms for maximum efficiency. Through these efforts, we strive to develop scalable and energy-efficient catalytic processes that drive the sustainable production of clean hydrogen and carbon precursors for high-value applications.
