Catalysis plays a pivotal role in advancing sustainability byenabling cleaner, more efficient chemical transformations essen-tial for energy, environment, and materials innovation. Ashumanity faces pressing challenges like climate change, energyinsecurity, and resource depletion, catalysis offers viable path-ways toward renewable fuels, green chemicals, and circular pro-cesses. Harnessing the power of catalytic science will not onlymitigate environmental impact but also shape a more resilient,equitable, and sustainable future for generations to come. Thisspecial issue on Catalysis Towards Sustainability features 18 peer-reviewed contributions, including three comprehensive reviewsand two forward-looking perspectives from leading researchersacross the globe. The collected works explore a diverse arrayof topics at the intersection of catalysis and sustainability, withparticular emphasis on the development of advanced materialsfor photocatalysis, biomass conversion, and other critical energyconversion and storage technologies.
